Communications Intern
The Global Fairness Initiative (GFI) is accepting resumes for an internship position in our Washington D.C. office.
The Global Fairness Initiative is a DC based not for profit organization focused on promoting equal economic opportunity
by connecting local knowledge and leadership with global innovation and investment. GFI projects operate globally and
emphasize multi-stakeholder engagement that leads to sustainable economic development.
Intern responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate with Executive Director and Program Manager on routine website updates, blog postings and other news media tools
- Support development and collaborate on editing and graphic design of print materials as needed (press releases, marketing materials, etc)
- Draft monthly newsletters with project updates
- Provide research support for program development and assist in grant and proposal writing as needed
Intern Requirements:
- Majoring in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations or a similar field of study
- Interest and/or experience in development preferred
- Willing to dedicate 15-18 hours a week
- Proactive and passionate about helping others
- Familiarity with Microsoft office
- Experience in social media preferred
- Good oral and writing skills
This is an unpaid internship
